Properties
1. Bright black flake or grain, insoluble in water and alcohol.
2. It is the greenblack colour when it soluble in solution of sodium sulfide.
3. Sulfur dyes are the most commonly used dyes manufactured for cotton in terms of volume.
4. They are cheap, generally have good wash fastness and are easy to apply.
5.The dyes are absorbed by cotton from a bath containing sodium sulfide and are made insoluble.
